Civil engineering drawings are sensitive project documents. Civilneer's handling of them is built around that, not bolted on afterward.

Zero-retention by default.
Temporary workspace, then deletion
An uploaded drawing is processed in an isolated, temporary workspace. It's removed as soon as you download your results, or automatically after a short expiry if you don't.
Isolated per upload
Each analysis runs in its own isolated file space. Drawings aren't pooled, compared across accounts, or used to build any shared dataset.
Polished outputs only
What you download is the marked-up drawing and a findings summary — never raw internal diagnostics, candidate-matching data, or debug artifacts.
Your account
Standard account security, done properly.
Passwords are hashed, never stored or logged in plain text. Sign-in sessions are held in cookies that JavaScript cannot read, and signing out revokes the session on our side rather than only clearing your browser. Multi-factor authentication using an authenticator app is available on every account at no extra cost.
Reviewing and revoking individual active sessions from your account settings is on the roadmap and is not available yet.
What we don't do
No silent data sharing.
Civilneer doesn't sell or share uploaded drawings, and doesn't use them to train any model. Internal diagnostic and debugging tools are only ever accessible from a separate, internally-managed environment — never through the same access a customer account has.
One deliberate exception: if you report an issue through in-app feedback, the drawing you were looking at is attached to that report, so our engineers can see exactly what you saw while looking into it. Outside of that, nobody at Civilneer can open the contents of a drawing you upload — our internal tools show job status and timing, never the sheet itself, for anything you haven't flagged. A drawing attached to a feedback report is kept only until we're done with it and is removed on request.
Questions
